We lived in number 3272 right at the corner. Our house was the Oil Company house as my father worked in Abadan Refinery. We lived there until I was 12 years then my dad retired and we went to live in Tehran. I remember it was 1966 when we moved. My school was in Bovardeh Jonobi next to an open swimming pool. This was the primary school . Right next to our house was the new high Boostan club , yes we too used to use the club and it was a magical place , playing billiard and my dad used to have drink with his mates. A great family atmosphere . The important thing to remember for me was next door but one there was an Armenian family with the boy called ARA, also a little further another with the boy called Heraj, these people were Christians and we were Muslims and we lived side by side , played as kids and there was no issues at all. Iran was a true multi cultural secular country. The open swimming pool was the highlight of the summer , we used to go in by just telling the attendant the dad's refinery id number, still after 50 years I remember that number , although I can not remember my own ID from the last job , it is an amazing walk down memory lane . I followed the google map of Abadan it was like Back to the future . Seyed Shirazi

Our house # was 3114. Mr. Golgiri was to our right and an Armenian family (with a Christian Father) used to live to our left. Mr. Difrakhsh, Mazkoori, Sabbah, Sarbaz-zadeh, Nikmaram, Sadeghi, Memar, Geetoo, Boostani, Angali, Attarzadeh, Haddiaan, Araamesh, Joobandi, Raahnamaa, Ghaffari, Hashemi, Abdollah Zadeh daryaaei, and many others used to live in the same area. After we left in 1970, I heard Mr. Mashaayekhi moved to this house..... what a great period in our lives. Boostan Club was down the street then Arvand club openned up and Boostan became Honarestan-e Baazargaani (girls-only school). Rahmati store was next door.... We grew up with these wonderful families and neighbors...The memories live forever!
